Christians Get One First Impression | If You Haven’t Seen It

Inside Cup

Have you ever had a conflicting thought with God? He inspires you to move. He places understanding in your heart…a flame of passion, to pull you up to stand. He pushes you to write about something…that may not be a fan of believers.

But when has Jesus EVER favored the feelings of believers?

(NLT) Matthew 9:13 Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this scripture. ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’ For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.

Remember this area of scripture for it will be reflected on soon.

My heart is conflicted and my words are messy. I see the world around me crumble. Hearts are turning to stone.

Jeremiah 5:21 “Hear this, you foolish and senseless people, who have eyes but do…

Quick Devotional from Ephesians 5:1 (Observation from the Greek)

The Domain for Truth

This is from my daily Greek exercise of sight reading a few months ago, courtesy of Vincent S Artale Jr.

Our text is from the Greek translation of Ephesians 5:1.  Here is my translation:

“PRINCIPLE 5 γίνεσθε οὖν μιμηταὶ τοῦ θεοῦ ὡς τέκνα ἀγαπητὰ”
Therefore be imitators of God as beloved Children

Here are some observations:

What was I thinking cont.

Why wordpress cut me off I don’t know???But then I don’t know alot about this blog thing.

Any way…Back to the altered tin. After a quick sketch of my idea and finding a tin, a Sucrets tin which is different from Mrs. cobs tin, I was well on my way. Finding some already done paper and then shopping for paper clay I began to craft my creation into being. Now WM didn’t have the clear pour which I really needed so without thinking too hard I decided to use glue…as in hot glue. Well…clear  pour would have been a lot better. Not being very patient is a lesson learned here. The little house in the pleasantly receive package was used in the top lid. I wanted it to look “set back” as in way behind the trees. Not knowing really how to make this look that way was a challenge but the on SCS the weekly ” lesson” was on painting with coffee. Yes…the drink..coffee. It sort of worked if you use your imagination.

Paper clay is fun but my modeling skills are wanting. But since the “pond” turned out murkey because of the hot glue…well surely you can tell those are Koi fish down there.

All in all this was fun….Will I do another one?   Maybe…maybe not to soon.IMG_20180609_163452

Thanks for coming by ..Come again and see what else I dream up and “try” to pull together. Practice makes perfect…It just takes a lot of pratice. LOL

Don’t forget…This is the Lords Day…REJOICE

What was I thinking?

A few days back, maybe a week or so, my dear artistic friend over at Cobweboriumemporium challenged me ….well maybe encouraged  is a better word…to give a try to alter a small tin. Mrs Cob does this so very well .She is a master at doing small things well but ….I find my plump fingers get in the way. Any way…I had earlier received a plesant surprise from my friend , the other Beverly. I give the other Beverly credit for pushing my “mojo” back into position after a long many years. This is what I received. See that little english house in the top right corner? Brain storm!

Yippie YI Yo Kayah

What to do when there are three birthdays so close together? Why….Have one big party of course  and that is what we did. Going out in the boondocks to Lovern’s Arena ( North of  Philadelphia, Ms.)

we had us a party to put all partys to shame. ( I’m so glad this grandma didn’t get lost because some others did. lol)

The three oldest grands invited their friends, and family too, to ride the bull, catch a chicken and a little pig before taking a horse ride around the arena and finishing up with a buckwagon ride around the countryside.

By special request this grand ma made the outfits for the day. GT got a new pair of chaps and the girls, EA andAM, each got cowgirl skirts and a vest. Cutest little cowpokes out there.

Friends coming to share their special day was a blessing. I think everyone had a grand time at the arena.

On a crafty note…the road out to the arena was just beautiful with Blackeyed Susans and Queen Anns Lace wild flowers on both sides of the road. So…Thanks for stopping by. Until next time…..This is the Lords day….Rejoice.DSCN2157

Catch Up and A Miss

I don’t know where time goes or what happens to my time but blog time seems to escape routine. It’s not that I have terribily important things to do even though staying busy does help my situation. Busy busy is mostly what goes on here and not much accomplishment. As you can tell from these photos I am behind in sharing my garden….such as it is. We will start with Easter….yep…that far back. My #1 son and DnL gave me this beautiful Gerbera. Not usually being successful with plants like this I have  been really pleased. Already deadheaded three blooms and more keep coming. YeaIMG_20180520_095042

And then there was Mothers Day. My boys are pretty good at calling or even giving me a pretty card but not usually flowers so it was a wonderful surprise when this showed up on my front porch. Son #2 sent them ( this was the bigest surprise). The little bird nest  didn’t look weather proof so after removing it this petunia now hangs on the back porch so I can keep it watered ( I’m bad about letting plants go dry )and enjoy from the kitchen and breakfast room.

Now to the garden…not much but pretty .. The Mothers Day rose ( wild pink ) always blooms for the occasion and the red three Sisters rose is not far behind. The day lilies have just about dissapeared but there were a few.

Easter Lily came in late to the Spring party and then this morning a Cala Lily showed up.

Isn’t Nature wonderful to behold? The roses are struggling  but a few are picture worthy.

After the crazy Winter/Spring mix we have had the fruit trees are still in question. Only one fig has any sign of fruit, the blueberries have never out done themselves and won’t again this year and the Pom?…..well…..again it is beautiful but has never set fruit.

c

After a short break I will take you on a birthday party extravagancea.  Three for one.

Until then…remember…This is the Lords day….Rejoice and be Glad.

Would enjoy hearing from you….please let me know you were here.

Blood | Jim Stephens

Reasoned Cases for Christ

gIUEiW5

OK, I had to do one more. This is another excellent WordPress repost of an article originally authored by Jim Stephens at his http://101proofsforgod.blogspot.ca website. I’ve previously mentioned that Jim’s site is an excellent source of highly detailed information you wouldn’t ordinarily run into. If you haven’t bookmarked his website, please do. I’m always amazed at what we take for granted and obviously our blood is one that we seldom think about. Enjoy!

I have been reading numerous scientific articles about blood. This information is astounding. There is only one rational conclusion, your body is a walking miracle.

I recommend that those who believe that random chance and “survival of the fittest” can result in such a miracle need to take a step back and examine their motivations. They might ask themselves honestly why they want so badly that evolution be true.

The best current estimate of scientists is that there are 37.2…
