NAMES MATTER: WHY WE SHOULD CELEBRATE JESUS’ RESURRECTION WITHOUT CALLING IT ‘EASTER’…

We have a problem Houston.

BE BLESSTIFIED!

As we come upon the season of celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Yeshua, Jesus Christ, I’m compelled to share what He placed in my heart years ago…my annual reminder.

John 4:24 proclaims that God is a spirit and we are commanded to worship Him in Spirit and Truth….Spirit and Truth.

God also commanded in Joshua 23:7 that we are not to make mention of or swear by the names of pagan gods, particularly those that were worshiped by the people who surrounded Israel.

 Joshua 23: (NKJV)

and lest you go among these nations, these who remain among you. You shall not MAKE MENTION OF THE NAME of their gods, nor cause anyone to swear by them; you shall not serve them nor bow down to them,

Some of those names were Baal and Ashtoreth (Judges 2:12-15). One of Israel’s greatest sins was when they “did…

GOD NEVER GIVES YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN HANDLE

GOD NEVER GIVES YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN HANDLE

Richard L Rice

The past few weeks have been very disturbing to many people, and by all accounts, life is going to get much more difficult before it gets better.

Never once have I experienced a warning from suffering asking me if I’m ready for another round.

Life’s trials are sometimes like a gentle rain. Other times they come like a ferocious storm of destruction. Either way, we are never asked about them in advance.

Christian people say, “Well, God never gives you more than you can handle.” It seems like such a comforting idea, but think about what it means. It means that you can make it on your own without God. He only gives you things He knows you can handle. You can overcome because God has confidence in you and your abilities. This saying isn’t from the Bible.

CORONAVIRUS IN THE LIGHT OF SCRIPTURE

CORONAVIRUS IN THE LIGHT OF SCRIPTURE

Michael Jeshurun

“And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?” [Dan 4:35]

This verse tells us that there is an army in heaven which God controls. But what of the armies of the earth? Even a cursory reading of the Old Testament will show that God controls the armies of the earth as well. Consider just a few verses –

“This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that THE MOST HIGH RULETH IN THE KINGDOM OF MEN, and giveth it to whomsoever He will, and setteth up over it the…

Through the Narrow – What About the If:Gathering? By Gina Cook

Here we go agin..Please pay attention

Tulips & Honey

What About the If:Gathering?

We need to warn women and their church leaders of one of the ways a false gospel, false teachers and a false Jesus are being brought to them under the guise of women gathering in “Christian” fellowship, worship and missions. We need to warn about the IF:Gathering and those who speak at it. It’s a two-day gathering that brings women away from pastoral oversight and into fellowship with one another under teachers who twist and corrupt God’s truths.

Many have already warned about IF:Gathering and have done an excellent job doing so (see these links:https://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/blog/?p=17334

…yet the warnings must be repeated and repeated. The alarm should continue on as so many women, families and churches are still impacted by serious errors from these popular teachers and this yearly event.

From the IF:Gathering website we read:…

Sharing our Faith in Times of Crisis

It is just that simple.

God's Grace ~ God's Glory!

We retrieved our computer two days ago after it was in repair for a week. We (the elderly) learned yesterday that we should not venture from home (after I had been to the grocery store for daily essentials).

With the widespread fear, we sense the need to share our reasons for not being anxious. How can we help others remain hopeful and at peace during these times.

We cannot be out and about but having the means of posting on this blog, we can offer what the Lord has given us. Sustaining us for over eighty years, Jerry and I are privileged ~ blessed ~ to know the presence and power of our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ and His Spirit every day.

Considering the fear many seem to have, we see three possibilities for us as God’s people.

  1. We may never get the coronavirus.
  2. We may have…

CHRISTIAN YOGA: Bringing the Kundalini Spirit Into the Church

Absolute Truth from the Word of God

Originally written in 2016 –  I often feel  a nudge from the Holy Spirit to repost this.  The enemy of our souls never ceases to attack the body of Christ.

One way he chooses is to whisper to Christians that Yoga is perfectly fine for them – as long as they stay away from meditation.

This is NOT true, brethren.  I pray that this article helps someone who is caught up in the Hindu practice of Yoga!

Also, with the false teachings abounding in nearly every denomination, I felt that it was so vitally important to bring this piece out once again.
Have you watched the people from Emergent churches and NAR (New Apostolic Church) as they writhe on the floors, barking like dogs and then laughing uncontrollably?   Is this from God?
Most Certainly NOT!
