Should the followers of Jesus speak out about moral issues, justice and politics?

Yes!

Power of the Holy Spirit

See the source imageThe word of God is real.God has laid certain moral imperatives. They all revolve around love. That is the way of Jesus.

What then should the followers of Jesus have to say about God’s ways? Should we influence government and be involved with politics to do so? For example, what about these historical issues?

  • Advocating for outlawing infanticide, child abandonment, and abortion in the Roman Empire (in AD 374)
  • Granting of property rights and other protections to women throughout history; prohibiting the burning alive of widows along with their dead husbands in India (in 1829)
  • Outlawing the painful  and crippling practice of binding young women’s feet in China (in 1912)
  • Followers of Jesus played a major role in the struggle against slavery. In fact, two-thirds of the leading American abolitionists in the mid–1830s were Christian clergymen who were preaching “politics” from the pulpit, saying that slavery should be abolished.
  • In…

Contend!

Are you willing?

See, there's this thing called biology...

I am exceedingly blessed y’all, to have experienced some struggles in life, and to have the kind of personality that insists of knowing the “why” behind everything. I have to brag in the Lord here, because it wasn’t always so! I was not always so cheerful about the struggle and I seriously thought there was something wrong with me because I had so many questions. I can’t just “believe” in something, I have to know “why” I believe. It turns out that’s not a character defect, that’s a really good thing.

I write a lot about discerning the truth behind culture, politics, faith, and “neo-science,” Registered Trademark. When it comes to faith, I often call it “arguing with God” but you could call it “wrestling” or as it says in Philippians 2:12, “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now…

It IS Persecution…

Pay attention

See, there's this thing called biology...

I need to say this on account of having once been a minimizer, a denialist, made of teflon really, a rock and prone to not acknowledge those wounds that seem trivial at first glance. Don’t dismiss that kind of stuff, don’t pretend it doesn’t matter.

Also, I saw all the recent mockery, all the social media eye rolling about how Christians think they’re persecuted in the West and how they don’t even know what persecution is and they’re all just a bunch of snowflakes. Well, just because they say it, doesn’t make it true. Christians ARE persecuted in the West. It’s primarily psychological, emotional, and financial abuse, but that can be even worst, even harder to see and harder to cope with, and harder to heal from.

Not long ago someone spoke about bullying in high school and how awful this one guy was, tossing a kid in a dumpster…

Why I Choose to Stay Home With My Children

Why I Choose to Stay Home With My Children

the best life

A New Life

Being a stay-at-home mother just doesn’t get the appreciation that it used to. Seems like with the women’s movement during the 20’s thru 50’s, many women now almost get looked down upon for staying home in a domesticated role. Not everyone sees it this way of course.

Being a good mom was all I’ve ever wanted to be. Some of my fondest childhood memories consist of pushing my doll in a stroller. Or waiting impatiently to get my first Cabbage Patch doll equipped with her very own birth certificate! I also have memories of taking a 2 liter pop bottle and transforming it into my “child”, until it became too heavy and awkward to lug around. 😏

I choose to stay home for the simplest of reasons. To be there for my children. To mold them and shape them into what I believe they can become. Good mothers and wives…

Swift are the Feet of Forgiveness

He Hath Said

“And kissed him.”- Luke 15:20

Before the prodigal son received these kisses of love, he had said in the far country, “I will arise and go to my father.” He had, however, done more than that, else his father’s kiss would never have been upon his cheek. The resolve had become a deed: “He arose, and came to his father.” A bushelful of resolutions is of small value; a single grain of practice is worth the whole. The determination to return home is good; but it is when the wandering boy begins the business of really carrying out the good resolve, that he draws near the blessing.

Before the kisses of love were given, this young man was on his way to his father; but he would not have reached him unless his father had come the major part of the way… If you come a little way to Him…

Judgement Is Coming to America — Absolute Truth from the Word of God

So then, does it surprise you that corruption is entrenched not only in political establishments, but social as well. The United States I believe is corrupted beyond repair. I really do not foresee any revival coming. In-fact, I believe the near future will unleash further rounds of abominations that are normalized. What is next? Pedophilia? […]
