AIN’T NO SUCH THING AS ‘CHRISTIAN YOGA’

Please understand this truth.

AIN’T NO SUCH THING AS ‘CHRISTIAN YOGA’

compiled by Michael Jeshurun

“Christianity cannot be integrated with yoga and remain Christian. To think otherwise imperils the Christian truth and faith. As the managing editor of ‘Hinduism Today,’ Sannyasin Arumugaswami, remarks, ‘Hinduism is the soul of yoga ‘based as it is on Hindu Scripture and developed by Hindu sages. Yoga opens up new and more refined states of mind, and to understand them one needs to believe in and understand the Hindu way of looking at God. . . . A Christian trying to adapt these practices will likely disrupt their own Christian beliefs’.’ East is east, and west is west, and if Christianity is to remain Christian, ‘the twain’ should never be married. – Pastor Larry De Bruyn

“The practice of Yoga is Pagan at best, and Occult at worst. Its teachings emanate from the Eastern religions, all of which…

FAITH AND REPENTANCE – THE GIFT OF GOD

FAITH AND REPENTANCE – THE GIFT OF GOD

compiled by Michael Jeshurun

THE GIFT OF SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING

“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath GIVEN US AN UNDERSTANDING, that we may know Him that is true” (1 John 5:20). What is communicated to the saint when he is born again is wholly spiritual and exactly suited for taking in the Scriptural knowledge of Christ. It is not an entirely new faculty which is then imparted, but rather the renewing of the original one, fitting it for the apprehension of new objects. It consists of an internal illumination, a divine light that shines in our hearts, enabling us to discern the glory of God shining in the face of Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 4:6).

Though we are not now admitted into a corporeal sight of Christ, yet He is made a living reality to those who…

Enduring Temptation, Giving Up What We Hold Onto | My Story Of Sexual Sin

Careful in marriage too.

Inside Cup

Sin made me ashamed. It made me want to run. If you had told me one day I would write about it I would be afraid. But now, I know God has received glory because I chose Him over my sin.

PARENTAL WARNING:  I highly encourage you to go over the post first. I do talk about topics that can be uncomfortable.

Sexual sin is often one of the most common sins our world struggles with, and Christians are not exempt. We live in a world that is often about me, me, me, and sexual sin or sexual pleasure (of any kind) is all about pleasing the flesh.

  • Lust

-looking at someone with sexual desire, undressing them, thinking desiring thoughts, observing their body, etc.

  • Self-pleasure

-Sexual fantasy, pleasing one own’s body sexually, often engaging with lust as well, especially through porn or visual aid of some kind.

  • Treating A…

LETTER TO A DEAR BROTHER WHO WAS BEING TORMENTED AND HARASSED BY FEARS OF HIS WITCHCRAFT PRACTICING NEIGHBOURS

Amen! Let us keep these thing inour hearts and mind.

LETTER TO A DEAR BROTHER WHO WAS BEING TORMENTED AND HARASSED BY FEARS OF HIS WITCHCRAFT PRACTICING NEIGHBOURS

Thank you once again for writing my dear Brother and sharing your fears and concerns regarding your neighbours who practice witchcraft. I want to start this letter by sharing something my wife and I were discussing a couple of weeks ago. We were watching the personal testimony of a hardcore Satanist who had now come to Christ and was gloriously saved. And he was sharing his experiences as a practicing Satanist as to how he would cast spells and curses on people and afflict them with all sorts of sicknesses and sometimes even had them killed by demons etc. (we must understand that devil does have a lot of power amongst his own for they are his slaves caught in his snare taken captive by him at his will [2Tim 2:26]

But…

When Push Comes to Shove

It isn’t complicated.

Reasoned Cases For Christ

When-Push-Comes-to-Shove

The informal meaning of “When Push Comes to Shove” is when one must commit oneself to an action or decision. “Sink or Swim” also comes to mind. I’m sure there are others.

Every once in a while I receive a question about Christianity from someone who has stumbled upon my blog. If it is a sincere question, an honest inquiry, I try to answer it. Sometimes the question only serves as a lead-in so that the person who submitted the question can then demonstrate their superior knowledge and intellect and ridicule my faith and beliefs. It’s not difficult to determine what kind of inquiry I have before me. Their response to my initial response to their question usually illustrates the motive behind the question. And in the big scheme of things, that’s all fine. I get it that some people enjoy demeaning others. I try my best not to…

What Proof Do You Have That Jesus Is the Messiah? | Jews For Jesus

Please read. It is a life and death thing.

Reasoned Cases For Christ

jesus-messiah

For one who has already made up his or her mind that Jesus is not the Messiah, no amount of evidence will be convincing. But for those who are honest in asking, the evidence speaks for itself.

The idea of a Messiah comes from the Hebrew Bible.

Imagine looking up a friend by first locating his country. That would not be enough information, so you would need to ascertain his city, street, and specific street number. It would also help if you had a phone number and when he would be home.

Similarly, the Bible tells us the “ID” of the Messiah. His ethnic background, place of birth, the timeframe of his arrival and other identifying characteristics are given. These “credentials” enable us to identify the Messiah and to recognize imposters.

What are some of the credentials of the Messiah?

Only a few can be listed below; there are many…

Nabeel Qureshi – Followup On Healing

A lot of people need this encouragment

Reasoned Cases For Christ

file

I recently discovered a series of posts authored by Robert M. Bowman Jr, who was a good friend of Nabeel Qureshi.

Robert Bowman received his M.A. in Biblical Studies and Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in 1981, did doctoral studies in Christian Apologetics at Westminster Theological Seminary, and earned his Ph.D in Biblical Studies at the South African Theological Seminary. From 2006 to 2008 he was the manager of Apologetics and Interfaith Evangelism for the North American Mission Board (based in Alpharetta, Georgia), an agency of the Southern Baptist Convention. Since 2008 he has been the executive director of the Institute for Religious Research, an independent, evangelical nonprofit organization (formerly located in Grand Rapids, now based in Cedar Springs, Michigan)

The series has to do with Rob’s interaction with Nabeel during Nabeel’s illness and Rob’s scholarly reasoning why God usually doesn’t provide miraculous healing for the sick, even godly individuals such as Nabeel.

If you are like…
