The photo is a little wonky but this is the finished product . Thank you treats for all of my Moms caregivers as she will be discharged from the swing-bed this week. I haven’t been in blog land lately so most of you don’t know the challenges in my family as of late.
A little over a month ago my Mom fell and although we first thought ..no big deal..it turned out to be a deal after all. Once we had x-rays, a week later, turns out she had fractures on her pelvic and tail bones. Thankfully no surgery came into play but she has been in the care of both UMMC and Methodist Rehab and now finishing up in Baptist Med. Center Leake swing-bed. It has been over a month of caregiving and they need to be thanked.
That is what I do when I can’t do much else…craft …to show how much we are thankful for the care she has received. Looking back I probably should have chosen something else but it is what it is and finely they are finished. Too many steps in this project but I hope they enjoy.
Of course they deserve a real thank you card as well.
Now the rest of the story..This card was made several months ago. A couple of cousins were planning to visit their Aunt, my Mom, but had to cancel their trip. I wanted to thank them for making the long trip to visit but since they didn’t I decided to give the card to the caregivers at MR. Well…things got crazy and that never happened so…this card and one very much like it will go to the wonderful caregivers at BMCL. Both the nursing station and the therapy room deserve more than a card and a plop of candy but you get the idea.
Don’t ever underestimate the good that comes from good Christian caregivers. They put up with a lot and are making stars for their crowns.
I seem to have several new followers on this blog and I am thankful for them also. I do need to do this more often but sometime others have such good thoughts and ideas I seem to stay busy reblogging instead of doing my own thing. That needs to change….so please come back..leave a comment so I know you have been here and I’ll be back soon.
Don’t forget…This is the Lords’day..Rejoice and be glad in it.
Love you all…beverly

What gorgeous thank you gifts! The staff members will be thrilled! That was very kind of you to notice them in such a special way.
this is the second time I have done this. About 4 or 5 years ago my Mom was there for 3 months getting over a broken hip. I do think the staff has increased in size though. lol
How splendid. Happy mom is ok, Love in Christ.:)
She is and might as well have been at a spa they took such good care.Love in Christ back to you
I’m sure your thoughtful gifts will be much appreciated and I’m glad your Mum is on the mend.
What a thoughtful idea!
Thanks. Crafting keeps my mind from from wandering off to ‘what if ‘ land.
I can see how that helps; especially when you put so much effort into it!
I know everyone will love those cards. I have been praying for you. I LOVE when you write-I feel like we are having a visit, for you write in such a natural way. Your thoughtfulness inspires me.
Is natural and simple simple the same thing, lol You know I don;t claim to be a writer and lately I am having a hard time crafting so I need your prayers. Thanks and you know I love you.
Your poor mother. That sounds just terrible. Sending good thoughts. (And your thank yous are lovely!)
Thank you sweet friend.
I’m very glad to know you, Beverly.
Beautiful thank you gifts. And I love the card. I used to do a lot of crafts, but I almost never do them any more. I seem to have seasons in my life when I do certain things and when that season ends, I seldom go back to doing those things. So glad your mom is doing well. God bless you. Thanks for the “like” on my blog.
