He appeared to be like some tall and lanky yet benign sort of goat herder.
There was some film footage of him walking amongst a rocky terrain complete with staff in hand.

You are right! Things are not what they appear to be! One of my neighbors appears to walk erect, but then he put a “Biden” sign in his yard, so his evolution is nothing more than a mirage.
